Imagine that: a whole two aircraft while the West burns down; and even they might not be flying -- because of privately-owned drones! As "Cal Fire" points out: "In July of 2015, firefighter's efforts were disrupted during the vital initial attack stage of the North Fire. As the fire burned toward the public driving on the nearby Interstate 15, firefighters were unable to utilize any aircraft to help hold back the blaze that would torch vehicles and force motorists to flee on foot from the oncoming flames. The reason? Several hobby drones, or UAS (unmanned aircraft systems), were seen flying in the fire area, forcing officials to ground all responding aircraft. "Here in Michigan, we live in a rain forest, hence the Great Lakes; but, back in the 1870's, the robber barons cut most of Michigan's forests to the ground; and left what wasn't profitable lay until it caught fire and 2/3rds of Michigan burned to the ground; and, like the clear cutting, most of the wild fires are man-made -- which is a double whammy! It's obvious we're going to do exactly nothing to stop global warming, as it's going to go on to make the 1% richer -- until it kills us all. To paraphrase an old mythology, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain all the money in the world, and lose his own life!"
