If the Koch brothers and their billionaire pals have their way with this election, it may be too late to stop their push to bring us back to those exciting days of yesteryear; and I'm not talking about the Lone Ranger! I'm talking about an oligarchy where there is no middle class -- just the masters and the slaves; and guess which one you'll be! Apparently, America has learned nothing from the last time the Rethuglicans controlled both the House and the Senate -- and the White House. Here in Michigan, the logical outcome of this election would be that Governor, oops, Emperor Hitler, er, Snyder would be sent packing, followed by a trial and a life-without-parole sentence for his acts of treason and sedition. Not to mention his union bustling, stealing money from the poor, the elderly, from children, and his war against women, in order to give billions more to his billionaire pals. For overthrowing elected officials, well, only in black communities, and replacing them with his hand-picked fascist toadies to squeeze them dry -- again for his billionaire buddies. But come Wednesday morning, I have little doubt that the unions, the poor, the blacks, the elderly, and the ladies, will reelect him for another term. Nationally, the Rethuglicans look to pick up control of the Senate, while adding to their numbers in the House; and since, for all practical purposes, Barry is one of them, we can look forward to those Bush years coming again -- only this time, with a vengeance. To paraphrase Vaughn Meader's old "The First Family" album, "Election day is near. Go to the polls and vote. Vote for the fascist moron of your choice, but vote!" And I have no doubt the American Sheeple will do just that! In this country, the Sheeple are a special kind of dumb. Folks worldwide look at us in wonder; how could anyone with all our advantages be so dumb? Sure, the people in England, France, Germany, and Israel keep voting in fascists; if they didn't, they wouldn't be our allies; but while they get that wrong, there is a lot of things they get right that we don't. Even their politicians get that solar, wind, and wave energies are good -- and oil, gas and nuclear are bad, and are actually working on making the switchover to those energies. Meanwhile, our politicians tell us happy lies about these pollutants, and take bribes from coal, gas, nuclear, and oil companies to keep them poisoning the Earth. Our FDA and USDA are bought and paid for, as well; and we're fed a steady stream of GMO poisons that the rest of the world won't put up with and as long as nothing changes we can look forward to much of the same, only worse. On average, Congressional approval rating by the people is right around 9%; in fact, colonoscopies, head lice, and cockroaches get a higher approval rating than Congress; but have no doubt, after the election, you'll find the same members that rate below cockroaches will be reelected come Wednesday morning. That is, is it not, a very special kind of dumb?
