Talk Is Cheap
By Ernest Stewart

"By comparison to what it could have been, it's a miracle. By comparison to what it should have been, it's a disaster." ~~~ George Monbiot

Some say it all depends on how you look at it; it all depends on how you study it! I beg to differ; it's just as I thought it would be before the conference began: just a bunch of politicians trying to cover their asses for a few years with nothing in concrete or even writing. Their 1% puppet masters were still pulling the strings; and they were dancing to the tune! As retired NASA Scientist James Hansen put it:
"It's a fraud really, a fake. It's just bullshit for them to say: 'We'll have a 2C warming target and then try to do a little better every five years.' It's just worthless words. There is no action, just promises. As long as fossil fuels appear to be the cheapest fuels out there, they will be continued to be burned."
On Obama, Hansen continued:
"We all foolishly had such high hopes for Obama, to articulate things, to be like Roosevelt and have fireside chats to explain to the public why we need to have a rising fee on carbon in order to move to clean energy. But he's not particularly good at that. He didn't make it a priority and now it's too late for him."
I totally agree on both points with Doctor Hansen. The conference was a bad joke; and Barry is a total disappointment. But again, I certainly wasn't surprised, were you?

Dr Ilan Kelman - University College London brought up an obvious, but important fact when he said:
"For all that is encouraging in the draft agreement, the timescales and lack thereof are worrying. Little substantive will happen until 2020, while clear deadlines for specific targets are generally absent. Even if this agreement is accepted in Paris, plenty of opportunities remain for governments to change and for legislatures to fail to ratify. It will be particularly difficult to deal with the US Congress."
Can you imagine what deep thinkers like Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, who both want to be your next president, think about this? You don't have to think, here are quotes from both. First, here's Ted's thoughts:
"The last 15 years, there has been no recorded warming. Contrary to all the theories that they are expounding, there should have been warming over the last 15 years. It hasn't happened... You know, back in the '70s - I remember the '70s, we were told there was global cooling. And everyone was told global cooling was a really big problem. And then that faded... Climate change, as they have defined it, can never be disproved, because whether it gets hotter or whether it gets colder, whatever happens, they'll say, well, it's changing, so it proves our theory."
And Marco's...
"Humans are not responsible for climate change in the way some of these people out there are trying to make us believe, for the following reason: I believe the climate is changing because there's never been a moment where the climate is not changing. The question is, what percentage of that... is due to human activity?... I don't agree with the notion that some are putting out there, including scientists, that somehow, there are actions we can take today that would actually have an impact on what's happening in our climate."
It boggles the mind, does it not?

I could boggle it even more, with a few dozen other Republican thoughts on global warming; but, life is short -- especially with global warming on the rise!

Thanks for the film!

We get by with a little help from our friends!
So please help us if you can...?

So how do you like Bush Lite so far?
And more importantly, what are you planning on doing about it?

Until the next time, Peace!
