Just One Place
By Ernest Stewart
Billy Jack: "Oh, really? Tell me, where is that place? Where is it? In what remote corner of this country-no-entire goddamn planet is there a place were men really care about one another and really love each other? Now, you tell me were such a place is, and I promise you that I'll never hurt another human being as long as I live." [shouts] "Just one place!"
Glenn Greenwald calls this the "U.S. 'Humanitarian' Bombing of Iraq: A Redundant Presidential Ritual," and ain't that the truth?! From Papa Smirk, to Slick Willie, to Smirky the Wonder Chimp, to Barry our last four Fuhrers have bombed Iraq for humanitarian reasons, or such was their weaseling reasons for murdering people. Funny thing is, every time we "bombed for peace," it only made the situation worse, not better!
Of course, it's not only us but our puppets too, like Israel, Britain, and the European Union who happily continue to murder folks all over the globe for both fun and profit. While Dwight David was a murdering genocidal maniac, he did do one thing I admired, i.e., in his last speech as President, he warned us of the military/industrial complex, those one per centers who make their billions by murdering children and other innocents. When you consider, that on average, about 90% of the people killed or maimed by war are innocent bystanders. In fact, we target some kids on purpose, like that soccer team practicing; they are, after all, young men, and hence, are legitimate targets for our fighter jets and drones as they might, or could, or after we bomb them, become enemy terrorists. Which is, of course, why we murder them to begin with. If you're going to have a never-ending war, you need never-ending victims with which to swell the enemy's ranks!
As George Carlin once explained:
"We like war, we are war-like people. We like war, because we are good at it. You know why we are good at it? Because we did a lot of practice. This country is only 200 years old and already we have had 10 major wars. We average a major war every 20 years in this country, so we are good at it! And that is good thing we are, we are not very good in anything else anymore. Can't built a decent car, can't make a TV set or VCR. Got no steel industry left, can't educate our young people, can't get health care for our old people; but we can bomb the shit out of your country alright! Especially if your country is full of brown people. Oh, we like that, don't we? That's our hobby! That's our new job in the world, bombing brown people! Iraq, Panama, Granada, Libya, you got some brown people in your country, tell them to watch the fuck out or we will god damn bomb them! Well, when is the last white people you can remember that we bombed. Can you remember the last white people? Can you remember any white people, we have ever bombed? The Germans! Those are the only ones and that is only because they were trying to cut in on our action. They wanted to dominate the world! Bullshit! That's our fucking job!"It's bad enough that George is right; but it's no longer a war every 20 years -- but a war that goes on and on and on without an end. Your children and your grandchildren and your great grandchildren have nothing but war and an American police state to look forward to. A place where we destroy the water, the land, and the air for a big profit for the uber-rich and poverty and death for everyone else. As Billy Jack asked, "Where is this place of peace and brotherhood?" My generation tried and failed to make it here in America. Like Barry, who could've been our best President ever, but chose, instead, to be one our our worst, we've decided to make America not a place of love and brotherhood, but the evil empire that most of the world fears and hates. For that decision, there will be a price to be paid; and we're beginning to pay it now. Pity is, our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will have to pay it, too -- even though they had nothing to do with that decision! Are you satisfied now, America?
